Or locks next I wonder how they're going to make them less boring than the discount bundle of Catachan Jungle Fighters that hadn't sold and got put in a game box last time. I hope they become a bit less monopose this time 'round (if nothing else).

They aren't mono pose and more hairy biker vibe, still not sure the studio paint job is really dark will have a better idea once I've seen the sprue, they look like they might be getting a heavy weapon on the sprue

Escher buy lasguns for 5 credits and laspistols for 10. This is probably a typo. It's probably lasguns at 15 and laspistols at 10 (the same price everyone else pays) or lasguns at 10 and laspistols at 5 (a 5 credit discount on each - which is fine as factions get some discounts on stuff they're supposed to have easy access to but nothing as extreme as the rifle being cheaper than the pistol). Having the lasguns be so disproportionately cheap is disturbing.
A few people have raised this point on line but there's no official word yet. Not sure how we want to play it at the club. We can probably discuss it tomorrow.

Laspistol is now better than the rifle. You basically get a rifle you can use in combat. In the underhive the rifle range doesn’t really make a difference. On a 3d table it will be more help though What prices are you using for gangs? Underhive or gangway? Both have those prices for the rifle and pistol.
You also have to read it in the context of a new s/t table I think. And other special abilities like all models being able to fire pistols in each hand...

All models can fire a pistol in each hand (page 58). They just get a -1 penalty for doing so.
In Underhive Escher pays 10 for a lasgun & 5 for a laspistol. In Gang War these prices are reversed. I suppose the only real difference is that the lasgun's short range is twice as long so it retains it's +1 to hit at short bonus a lot more often.
I'm pretty sure we're using Gang War prices but that price flip on those two items stood out as a bit odd to me. The utility of the pistol does make a lot of sense 'though as many Esceher will want to simply be equipped with a stiletto sword, stiletto dagger, and a pistol. Regrettably Juves cannot be given Stiletto swords. They should probably use lots of synth chem and chemical weapons as well.
There's an interesting use of wording that powergamers could try to twist on the synthesise poison ability from synth chem which, if used in combination with the Order skill, could lead to a devasting chain of poisoned attacks. There might need to be a common sense ruling as to whether "until the end of the activation" means the bonus two actions granted from the Order skill or until the end of the fighter's activation (especially if part of a group activation leading to the venom wielding warrior getting 4 actions at once(but in two sets of 2)).

Oh yes! You are quite right. Did you spot the price of hangers etc went up which I thoughtblargely absorbed the difference in a first weapon and subsidised a second. Itencouraged campaign gangs to carry more guns from the start

It certainly does. However starting gangs can't buy weapons for stash so it basically encourages you to favour quality over quantity and send in some really tooled up gangers into your first few games. The game favours quantity over quality. More bases on the table is lethal. I think it's intentionally done to encourage small flavourful gangs over bland large ones. It does look like an intellectual trap for clever players 'though. If you're clever enough to work out that starting equipment is cheaper then you're going to buy more of it and have less members in your gang. If you're even more clever you'll work out that you can keep those starting equipment prices as the game progresses and not waste extra starting money on extra gear. And if you aren't clever enough to realise either of these things then you never run the risk of falling into the intelligence trap in the first place. So it's a cunning trap for medium clever that extra clever realises is and avoids. Or something like that.
However, when visiting the trading post if an item is on your house equipment list you can just buy it for that cost without needing to make any rare rolls.
