Well this time the thread title is obviously a reference to Fawlty Towers, the Leonard Cohen song The Sisters of Mercy and ... the virtually all male group The Sisters of Mercy who's song Temple Of Love featured on the original Mordheim release mix tape that GW staff members were given to play in their stores when Mordheim got released.
This thread is basically a visual reference thread so people will be able to recognise the stuff I'm getting so that there'll be less questions like "what are these supposed to be again?" It's also an excuse for me to post pretty pictures. An interesting fact, when viewing renders, is that the figures often somehow turn out to be about two thirds of the size the images make them seem. There's a good chance I'll begin to actually remove images as I get things assembled and painted enough to be recognisable. We'll see how it goes. Given the sheer weight of images I'm thinking a different post for each unit (or unit type) would not be unreasonable.

Blade MaidensAs Sisters Regular InfantryOne front rank, three back ranks. Makes a regiment of 20. These fit perfectly with the hard hitting but fragile nature of the Sisterhood units. I havent' used them enough yet to get a good opinion (wish I'd got the gorgeous Abbess but perhaps I can grab her later on). Also included will be the heroine Rithali In as an Abbess to whip these girls into shape (Inspiring for Sisters only). Thee will probably multi base quite nicely as I imagine they're going to be a right royal pain to rank up.

Sisters Regular TroopsAs Paladin Foot Guard(Sadly, without shields)Looks like these girls are all about the hammers. Big ones at that. I should be getting two front ranks & six back ranks. Enough for two regiments. Swapping the shields for the hammers will mean they're a bit more vulnerable but also hit a bit harder. The shielded version of the foot guard is slightly lacking in hitting power so I'll see how they play out.

Mounted KnightsAs Paladin KnightsBit of an awkward one here as they're sold in packs of 3. I should be getting 1 command group and 4 sets of troopers for agrand total of 15 knights. Of course this was before I knew that cavalry in Kings of War could only be fielded in 5's, 10's and 20's (with no 5x3 formation and cavalry only ever being two ranks deep .... and wide .... very very wide). The knights hit hard when they get to charge but don't do much damage after that. They have plenty of staying power, however, and that command group is just gorgeous.

The Angelsas ... well Angels really (elohi is Hebrew for God, Elohim is gods, plural (don't know why Mantic went with the singular for the unit))Sold in packs of five....... I'm going to see if I can multibase 5 onto the same unit footprint template as 3 Mantic Angels as these girls are less Mantic Angel size and more Sisters of Battle with Seraphim jump packs size. 1 front rank. 1 back rank. I'll probably stick them together as one unit because the command group might look a bit silly on their own. Alternatively I might stick them in groups of 3 with 1 (or 4) left out as separate Ur Elohi (Hero Angels).

Santa Dolores and Doralys, Virgin Oracleas .... probably War Wizards (or maybe Priests)Basically support spellcasters of one kind or another. Both of these probably need round bases.

Sister Celeniaprobably as an Abbess or Dictator, probably also bearing The Boom Stick as a ranged weaponThe Dictator is basically somewhere between the Bearer of the Holy Icon and the Paladin as a hero choice. It can fight better than the standard bearer but lacks the added hitting power and healing abilities of the holy crusader.

Ascended Sister Erzebelas .... well now, Samacris - the Mother of Phoenixes, an Ur Elohi or maybe even just a Phoenix but I suspect that a model this gorgeous deserves to be Samacris reallyI'm expecting this one to be a bit of a pain to fit together as well. Pretty much a centrepiece model this one. She'll probably take forever to paint as well. I wouldn't want to mess it up.
