Gosh -- can you do 2 light and 8 line battalions of Hanoverian's -- that's a lot of cannon fodder
I'm blocking in a frame, testing colours but the grey undercoat is dulling the red too much
must get a tin of white undercoat tomorrow

oooh , i thought there was only 2 battalions, dunno where i got that from, but if theres 10 ive got no problem build what i have then And yes, ive just clipped the peninsular british off and i think the only main difference is the shako, looks like stove-pipe in the penn and belgic in teh waterloo set, well they gonna slip right in ( gotta use them as i got the Penn brits cheap

Or you could block it in with bone then use GW contrast blood angels red. I used to use Vallejo red and you’ll want 3 coats over grey or at least 5 over black

Gw reds do seem best but once the cross straps are on it may lift the red then a red tone could save the day Attachments:

Yh im thinking my brits may have to have white spray, and just have to suck up painting the grey trousers. I always found bleached bone pver black/any dark primer colour, would be a very good base for evil sunz red, and shadow grey /space wolves grey were good base for white over black. but if i paint the trousers rather than spray them , ill save a bit of time in re priming

Paint flesh guilliman flesh contrast. Blood angels red on the coats. Highlight the cross straps with white. Soft tone the whole lot

Blood Angel Red -- I will try In fairness scarlet rather than Red is the correct shade but doesn't have that punch on the table. Nemesis will find the Austro / Hungarians easy to paint spray white (2 coats) black boots and hat, flesh, rifle and if Hungarians light blue trousers finished with thinned soft tone

Nemesis Are you going warbases? Or do have enough plastic bases in all those boxes No im not doin mdf bases, i only using warbases for move trays, for units i use victrix 40mm sq with teh rounded edges and for cav i use renedra plastic , 50x50 i dont use all teh random shapes useually included as i only want 40's square However down the line i may do extra "light/volt" strip bases to swap out when skirmishing , but that would be a long way off !
