Wow, 25pc ! glad i got them starter boxes in the sales  Yh i like the perry cos they soo simlilar in build, but their new boxes is just pieces. victrix is also a box of bits I like the Warlord for simplicity , but on a large scale , cost wise it may have to be other producers  Or simply wait for the sales, ive got enough anyway atm |

Just to hijacke the thread in teh most unpopular fashion I ordered some RuBs that im hoping will accomodate the standard bearersof Npas, the "usal" box i use is just not deep enough, enough , i cut the flag poles to "just about enough" metal showing, when you whack a finial ontop, just wont fit |

How many 'bits' is a Perry / Victrix infantry man? three of more....
May be quicker to paint if you can basecoat spray body / legs /parts separately?
I wish I painted the trousers last on the next battalion, too much having to be careful costs time. Oh and I think that 4 frames a time is my limit - 6 just feels like to much to do at a time and it's feeling more like an unrewarding chore than the fun it's meant to be. I like seeing the progress but this extra time is sucking my will to paint.

the two new perry bxes are meant to have quite a few variations, the "old" perry boxes most (inf) are the three part system like warlord
victrix - some are 3 part, some have seperate arms

My french infantry (Perry) had some odd bits like drum, standard, etc but were largely one figure plus backpack. Some had a separate base.

I scanned teh warlord list of price increases, and i could see all single boxes, i wonder if teh "starter" sets will stay the same price
to encourage buying them ,
or if they will be increased inline with teh single box prices
