Happy to play -- I have a fair bit already
Causes -- another stalled project needing painting time
What's that dear -- you want the loft tidied up, I'm going in could be some time.
Be interested in knowing what has changed in the rules --- if anything

I assume that in this box is the original skirmish rules rather than my preferred mass battle -- War of the Ring rules.
Can anyone post anything about the rules to help me make my mind up as all I really need from the box above is the troll and the winged nasgul but then why would that stop a wargamer -- especially if this is one of that hand full of games we ARE going to play and continue to play on a revolving rota of games.

I asked in the shop , and its not the "movement tray " game Had a look at the minis and the plastic theoden and plastic nazgul are nice also managed to bag a copy of the "battle companies" Lotr rules, they like a small skirmish set of rules apparently. I dont know about it becoming a regular rota game, but i will definately like to play it at some point , may even have to find a set of teh moevement tray rules on ebay was it just a book ?

For the War of the Ring game the movement tray sizes are Type | Models | Width | Depth | Infantry | 4 x 2 | 110mm | 60mm | Cavalry | 2 x 1 | 90mm | 50mm |
Monsters what the model comes with Per page 24 of the 2008 rule book Happy hunting on Warbases

cheers matey . went to Warbases and they do already done " NOT" Lotr move trays , so ive ordered 2x1 40mm and 4x2 25mm bases But at warbases i didnt order any others, but they listed some other sizes of move tray, other than the ones you listed

Interestingly the £90 box plus the bits that are missing equals the £169 box
As I don't need yet more D6 and know how to use a measuring stick I will get the £90 box plus The Armies of The Lord of The Rings book and stop at that.

Interestingly
Smaug has had me "tidying up my crap" in the loft.
Almost every untidy box I look in has LOTR figures in it. The tidy boxes tend to be AT-43, WarmaHordes, Hell Dorado and Monsterpocalapse.
I'm going to be up there for months sorting that lot out - let alone painting, basing etc.
On the subject of bases when I discovered that I don't have enough for War of the Ring I cut up some art board and blue tacked the figures. Works just as well as Warbases and cheaper.
fortunatley the initial forces for the Strategy Battle game are no more than a dozen a side -- unless the rules have been streamlined.
