Just asked lvup to get me teh haradrim charge collection from GW and the mordor troll catapult ( which apparently is a dirct item) so if turns up, then we should have a enough stuff and proxy characters is good idea, i dont htink i have teh right characters either
I've taken a quick look in loft to see how many mordor orcs i could throw into a wotr game
See the picture for the footprint on the table its 45 stands and i may be able to find a few more hidden away
Then I can add some trolls, wargs, nazgul to fill in the gaps, even some Easterlings for backbone
Maybe Sauron will want to come out of his tower to - to watch the Oliphants
WoW ! and all original plastic stands too !
do you have as much good guys ? just seeing if there is anything i could collect specifically? rather atm im doin what ever i fancy painting ( as there quite a lot lol) ( but prolly not as much as pictured tho
Between us we have more than enough for a fun game - either system but WoTR IMO is way more fun for a club night than LoTR which is small one-on-one games. WoTR is Alternative turns though the different phrases is how it plays : some times you want to win the initiative roll and sometimes you don't want to be given it. So if you let the other guy move first - they shoot first, fighting in melee is simultaneous but if you move first they can counter march you. Priority is straight roll off no modifiers and winner chooses - there is not a pass it over to the other side on a tie.
For the OTT there will always be another unit of this or that to collect - why I'm collecting Minas Tirith and Dol Amoth at the moment.
Oh Good guys, as points wise they're 3 times as expensive I can match up. 2 sides
Bases I'm going to have to get a good number from Warbases as e-bay prices are way tooooo expensive - thought I will start with 20 of each and use art board and blue tack for the rest.
Note the rules are not tournament balanced - expect the good guys to win unless Sauron fixes their dice with his gaze - you will need lots of dice, but you already of them
