My experience with napoleonic was that it depended on the game. If you are doing fun black powder I’d suggest you get 1 cannon battery for each foot battalion (of 3-4 units) then a horse artillery for each cavalry battalion of (1-3 units).

Does black powder differentiate between a 6 pounder and a 12? Cannons v mortar or does it simplify it to “gun” Can you fire grapeshot?

Let's follow these and see where we went wrong
I think you need to do each order before doing the next because circumstances change as you advance
watch out for the proximity rule (rule of 12)
Do watch out for the changes in BP2

Ill try and remeber to watch this at some point, Im sure there were thing s that felt massively wrong, im gonna see if i can get any idead of stuff from watching some batreps on youtube. I think next time we play we shoudl use it as a rule sorting game, and work out teh problems as we find them rather than worry about finishing the game. Tangos game gave us the bare bones of how tha game works (ish), and we can smooth them out as we play

This IMO is the best of those I watched
Important to remember that 'disordered' marker stops a unit receiving orders and also goes away after their next turn has finished -- I think this is like pin markers in bolt Action but I'm not familiar with the system.
I wished they went though forming square as it seems to be a free response to a cavalry charge [18:48mins in].
I liked hearing the thinking around the rules and not just a play though.
6" seems to be your friend but we don't need to go there
Worth watching just for the Raff rolls
