Anone interested in using THIS as a scenario generator? I figure we'll run out/get bored of playing the same six scenarios in the rulebook soon....

Expanding on the above, the book has three sections that you can use/ignore as you wish.
Section 1 is akin to rolling up an RPG character to flesh out you platoon leader and his relationship with higher command and squad leaders. This may or may not give you small bonuses/penalties further on in the book, but it serves to start you thinking about your platoon leader as a person rather than a lump of metal/plastic being pushed around the table
Section 2 is all about the scenarios and table/scenery setup along with the obligatory victory conditions.
Section 3 is about stringing it all together as an ongoing campaign. No maps to fight over, just a string of battles that see your chaps develop over time, using the KISS principle.

OK, so from last night (07 AUG 17 for those who have social lives and weren't there...) it looks like there's an expression of interest to use 'Platoon Forward' to generate a loose campaign/scenarios/random events to give our dice chucking a bit of variety. After all, variety is the spice of life. Except in the bedroom, thene its right out. So says CINCNAGHOME.... I've printed off copies for myself, Nemesis, cthulhu, and Tony B, as we're currently the only regular players with toys and I had limited time to faff around with the printer. If anyone else would like a copy and intends to turn up on a Monday night then reply below. Defence cuts mean my works can't fleece the MoD for as much as they used to, so you'll have to provide your own binding/filing arrangements for the hard copy...
