Is it a little beady or in the spirit of the rules?

Hello. Rules Question - Free combat action. The rulebook says (page 22) that: "If a model moves, deliberately or otherwise, into a cube that contains an enemy you initiate an Assault (close combat fight) automatically, without it counting as an action".
--- My question is... Can you Move a miniature into an enemy (short action), then release a free Fight, with lucky enough kill the enemy... and then take your second short action? A shoot, for example???
The rule says that the free Fight do not count as an action, but i think that you should end now your activation and i want to be sure about this. The idea of move + free fight + another shor action sound tricky to me 😳. Thank you for your time.

You can absolutely SHOOT after moving, getting the free FIGHT, and eliminating an enemy. Similarly, you could SHOOT an enemy, either wound, or suppress it, THEN MOVE in and get the free FIGHT.

I was sure about the second one, shoot, then move (and free fight). But this is the first time i think about what "whitout counting as an action" means... this is my face now ¡

There's lots of way to leverage advantages in Deadzone, enjoy!! And this example isn't even using a COMMAN DICE!!!

There's no need to end your activation after a free fight (unless you end up pinned).
You could shoot and then move into a fight. You could equally move into a fight and then shoot. The risk is that you lose the fight, or at least don't clear the cube of opponents. If there's still enemy in there with you, you may be unable to take a second action.
