The Great Fyreslayer Mystery is solved

No I found out shortly after preordering one of the other faction decks so I went and ordered the magazine as well (meaning I paid for p&p twice and stuff's getting sent twice as well). This only served to add to my frustration.

Looking at the pictures and videos that are appearing on the internet the Fyreslayer cards in White Dwarf might be unplayable bad. They have some high damage ratings on criticals but lack the high strength to consistently deal those amounts of damage. They do get 1 or 2 more "value of" abilities than most other factions do but none of them really raise strength. They do have the ability to roll more attack dice so basically they're all about crit fishing (which I am not very fond of because I'd rather have better odds than more dice to roll). They're basically goblining it. That is to say, throwing more bodies at the situation and hoping it will eventually work. Just substitute bodies for dice in this case.

There's lots of Strength 3 attacks and a few strength 4 attacks (admittedly they can get 5's on criticals but 1's on most normal damage hits). It looks like a 9 or 10 dwarf warband (including the Shadespire gang for 470 points). I'd still like to try them out to test my initial impressions 'though.

Only if you can roll a 6. Wait? Roll 2 dice? That two dice difference is what makes it stand out from the other warbands with the same generic ranged attack that does 1 damage or the value of the ability on a 6. It's basically two ranged attack abilities for the price of one.

Oh. You may have meant the two handed firethrowers/axe combo things. You clearly haven't seen the Kharadon Overlords cards yet. They've got guns for days.

Only available for one very specific profile but rather useful.
