Many people do mix and match the ranges i havnt mixed the manufactureres in units, but my brit French and Russian are warlord and my Austrians and Prussians are Perry i think Im sure someone on the innerwebs has done "comparisons" but my naps are all scattered, so cant compare. and im not sure how noticeable mixing manufacturers would be on the table top test. I havea chunk of warlord , due to the price but i like Perry also though :0

Don't forget that people do come in a mix of sizes - not all of us are 6' 2" tall, slim and handsome.
IIFC the Warlord French and Perry French in greatcoats in that classic marching pose mix very well.
So poses will determine what works.

lol the only problem i can see with the "starter" set is that , although my armies will be multiplying by a good amount of trroops on both sides. I will end up with sooo many "hanovarians" , maybe enough to refight Waterloo on their own !!! Thats without them being a contentious boxed set, that sets the "historically-accurates" off their trolley !!! lol but i dont mind that )) EDIT: I suppose thats why manufacturers make boxed sets with odd units in them, to stop ppl just buying starters sets, may be argued its to give the newby a selection, but i would back the former

you can paint the "Hanoverians" in red or green uniforms. I did mine in Green
Red fought against the French and in earlier wars green fought for the French
but you must have enough spare heads to make them all appear more ""British""

There should be spare heads from the British sprues which you have in abundance
IIRC there's double the needed heads so plenty of spares for those guys with the silly flat felt hat
