This came up on Monday
Is this covered by WMR Page 45 Blocked Retreats?
Why use the word 'impassable' for retreat into terrain but describe the river as 'impenetrable'
To me it seems that retreating into a river destroys the stand but being pushed into a stream just confuses the retreated unit with suitable penalty for the next round of combat.

Used to be impassable meant you couldn’t go through and impenetrable meant you couldn’t go through in good order, but I think that was WRG

Ah I have found where I got it from, in warmaster ancients if you end your move in rivers or are pushed back into a river you are destroyed, unless you are by bridge or ford in river, so wrong rules et and I apologise
